Hiring the Theatre
Our theatre and the associated facilities are available for outside groups to hire for their events, meetings, etc. We are able to cater for a wide variety of requirements and have a number of regular hirers who are able to make great use of our building. - 85 Seater Auditorium
- 48-channel, computerised lighting system
- Mini-Disk Sound System, 2x Twin CD Player, 9-channel mixer driving a 6-speaker Auditorium Effects System.
- Backstage, dressing room, WCs
- Licenced bar, including tea/coffee facilities
There are no restrictions on when the theatre can be hired (subject to existing bookings) as the premises are licenced for shows 7 days-a-week

Theatre (rehearsal/other event):
Meeting room (max. 10 persons):
For the purposes of hiring, the following timeslots are used:
Morning = 09:00 - 13:00
Afternoon = 13:00 - 18:00
Evening = 18:00 - 24:00
The following are included in the hiring cost
Bar facility and staff, front-of-house staff, stage lighting and sound systems and technician(s), dressing room, backstage, toilets
Stage worker lighting (strip lights), dressing room, backstage, toilets
Tea/coffee facilities, toilets
Stage lighting rigging/refocussing:
£40 per hour, to be carried out by a Hurst Players technician (under no circumstances are hirers permitted to undertake any changes themselves, for insurance reasons)
Full stage lighting package for rehearsals:
£25 per session, to include a technician

Completed forms should be returned to the treasurer (address listed on the form) together with a cheque to cover the hirer's deposit. Once these have been received and reviewed, a member of the Hurst Players team will contact you to confirm the booking and answer any further questions you may have. Full terms and conditions of hire are listed on the booking form. We strongly recommend potential hirers read these thoroughly before making a booking.
