Performance Classes for Young People

Our resident youth threatre training program CentreStage Youth is led by the experienced Sam Nixon of Gin Palace Productions

The program provides a rare opportunity for young performers to create drama within a proper theatre setting, on a stage and with access to lights sound and scenery! Classes run in 3 roughly defined age-groups according to demand, at the very affordable rate of £5 per session.

Activities will cover improvisation, vocal technique, script work, and physical theatre. The groups also work toward a performace at least once a year.

5 - 7 Years: Saturdays 9.00am-9.40am

7 - 12 Years: Saturdays 9.45am-10.45am

13 - 18 Years: Saturdays 10.50am-12.00pm

Performance Classes for Adults

We are hoping to launch an acting course for adults in 2022, appropriate for anyone from the complete beginner through to experienced performers looking to hone their technique.

Topics covered may include:

Stage awareness and proxemics
How to build a character
Vocal awareness and technique
Physical characterisation

These 2hr small group sessions will typically run on Saturday afternoons, and cost only £15.
